It’s all about you ……

31 January 2012

It’s been a fantastic start to the New Year. The KBSA has welcomed new board  members as well as new retail and corporate members.
Of course, without strong board membership, there is no KBSA – so we were thrilled to welcome David Dalglish MD of The Knaresborough Kitchen Company (a retail member since 2000), and Steve Cowburn of Countess Interiors in Preston.

KBSA board  members are all non paid volunteers – it requires people with a real passion for this industry and for doing things thoroughly. It’s not for the feint-hearted, but it’s definitely something worthwhile. Gentlemen – we thank you!

Sometimes people ask whether it’s ‘worth’ joining the KBSA , and I think the comment from one of our most recent retail members sums it up: Geoff Sharpe of The Keller Kitchen Centre, Altrincham said, “I felt I should support the idea of a strong kitchen body that gives customers a confidence in buying. I’m also a Neff Master partner, and their support of the KBSA as a corporate member influenced my decision. It was a case of could I afford not to be a member? I think the costs are relatively small compared with other costs we have to find.”

The Keller Kitchen Centre is supplied by Keller Kitchens (Europe), who also became a new member recently too – this time in the Corporate Category.

It’s great to see our spread reaching out so far – obviously people really are seeing the benefits of joining us – it’s all about strength in numbers, which also underlines our plans for growth in 2012.
