KITCHEN CONCEPT WINNER ANNOUNCED IN 2016 KBSA DESIGNER AWARDS

The KBSA have announced the winner of the Kitchen Concept Designer of the Year, sponsored by Articad in the 2016 KBSA Designer Awards as Laura Baxter, Kitchens International .
The judges commented that the entries were ‘proof if proof were needed that our kitchen designers understand the concept of designing kitchens for open living spaces acknowledging client needs and current trends’.
Laura’s was an excellent design they rated highly, and said ‘ it demonstrated good balance – for an industrial space but with doors to cover clutter’ and the level of presentation was excellent !’
The Kitchen Concept Award, has a common brief from which all entrants create their own design. This allows the judges to judge from a level playing field. This award is open to all KBSA designers, and is not restricted to young designers.
Ruth Ward, Sales & Marketing Director, said ‘The judges were again impressed with this year’s entries. It is an honest way of judging this particular award as it’s a single brief, rather than other categories where the brief is specific to each entry.
