The Kitchen Bathroom Bedroom Specialists Association (KBSA) has enjoyed another successful year at the Grand Designs Live Exhibition in London.
The KBSA was situated in the Expert Advice Centre and had experts on hand to answer any visitors' questions on buying a new kitchen, bathroom, bedroom or home office.
Ruth Ward, KBSA sales and marketing director comments: "Our expert Alan Stanford was busy throughout the exhibition, answering many questions from people who are about to embark on a home makeover.
"The enquiries were more varied, and more on bathrooms this year than kitchens, this may have something to do with the water efficiency drives at the moment and more environmental awareness among consumers.
"Alan spoke to a variety of consumers who specifically wanted advice on kitchens and bathrooms, some with plans, some for general initial advice on what to look for.
"It was a fantastic opportunity to promote the KBSA message to homeowners and as previous years, the most important question from them was how to ensure that their chosen retailer is reputable and safe.
"We were able to re-assure visitors that KBSA members have to abide by strict criteria in order to be accepted and don't just get given a badge when the pay their money. KBSA retailers also offer added protection through either a ConsumerCare Deposit Protection Scheme or a more comprehensive ConsumerCare Plus Scheme which covers the deposit, advanced payments, work-in-progress and a 6-year warranty.
"Meeting homeowners who we know are seriously considering investing in their home at exhibitions like this is an important part of our consumer communications plan."
The KBSA has invested in a new consumer campaign that includes two new events for 2010. The KBSA will be represented at the Kitchen and Bathroom Show, from 26th to 27th June at Sandown Park, Surrey and from 5th to 7th November, at Harrogate.
The KBSA will also be at the next Grand Designs show which takes place in Birmingham from the 8th to 10th October.
