The KBSA participated in a new visitor attraction at the Homebuilding & Renovating Show which was held at the NEC from 10-13 April. The Spotlight on Kitchens and Bathrooms was one of a number of new features designed to provide practical help and guidance for visitors looking to invest in a new home.
KBSA kitchen consultant Alan Stanford was on hand to provide advice at the KBSA branded pod which offered relaxed seating, refreshment areas and a show information point.
“This new format was a great success,” says Ruth Ward, KBSA sales and marketing director.
“The Spotlight on Kitchens and Bathrooms was well promoted, easy to find and offered a welcome respite from a busy show for visitors wanting to take time out to discuss their kitchen and bathroom installations.
“The exhibition was also a fantastic opportunity for us to promote the new website and we had a very positive response from many consumers who viewed it. We also carried out an extensive consumer survey and one lucky visitor will win a superb wine cooler worth £900 from KBSA member Neff.
The show’s organisers, Centaur Exhibitors also agreed that the Spotlight features had been a great success. Nick Noble group event director commented: “We are delighted with the response to the Spotlight features and have gained lots of valuable feedback as to how they can be made even better next year.”
Homebuilding & Renovating exhibition is primarily focussed on individuals looking to build or renovate their own homes, with 63% of visitors having live or imminent projects. The show attracted over 46, 500 visitors last year of which includes a significant trade audience of around 11,000 visitors and is the best-attended event of its type in the UK.
