Rebecca Dewe, kitchen designer for Nicholas Anthony has been awarded the KBSA-sponsored NHIC Award for New Kitchen Designer.
Rebecca designed a stunning, contemporary kitchen using high quality materials such as 80mm Corian work surfaces with moulded sinks and top brand appliances. A white colour palette with hints of black and deep red continued the simple yet trendy theme.
Rebecca comments: “This was an exciting project to work on as the client was really open to new ideas, providing me with a great opportunity to create something special. The client wanted a minimalist, stylish but also functional design as she loves to cook and spends a lot of time in her kitchen. I’m thrilled that the judges liked it as much as the client did. I had a great day at the NHIC awards and I look forward to designing something to enter for next year’s competition.”
Ruth Ward, KBSA sales and marketing director comments: “It is very important to recognise talent and achievement within the industry which is why we feel strongly about sponsoring such an important award for new designers. Rebecca’s design was stunning and I am sure she will go on to win many more awards in the future.”
The National Home Improvement Council (NHIC) represents the most important body of companies and organisations that work in the home improvement sector and earnestly believes in higher standards of materials and workmanship, backed up with codes of practice, guarantees and warranties.
