We had carried out bathroom and ensuite renovations in the client’s last home so they knew they wanted to use Crosswater’s brushed brass range they also liked a mix between traditional and modern.

They wanted a double vanity unit and didn’t want this to feel small in the large room, the client also wanted a freestanding bath rather than a boxed in one that was there previously.

Since we had a large enough bathroom I designed it to put 2 x Burlington gullwing vanity units together rather than a standard double vanity. The installation team then joined the Minerva worktop together so it appears as though this was a double vanity unit.

Due to the floor being a concrete slab we were unable to install a floor mounted tap so I designed for a studded wall to fit underneath the shutters to allow for a wall mounted bath tap and we had to choose the freestanding bath carefully to fit under, we selected a Clearwater Puro that neatly fitted under the window and wall mounted taps.

The WC was in its own room inside the bathroom so we just updated the products here and the same again for the shower area. Crosswater’s Optix hinged door was used and their brushed brass brassware.

A classic marble tile was selected which had a brass/brown vein rather than grey to match the brassware, and we used brushed brass tile trim to complete the look. With 72 sqm of wall tiles, 2 x arched doorways and an angled chimney breast the tiling team had fun with this installation.
