Alexander - Horsham Showroom
From the outset the client favoured a green theme and had an intention to fill the space with greenery and decorative items. Aside from this, it was up to the designer to conjure a unique theme with special inclusions to suit this space.
To create a spacious layout, the designer has separated areas for showering, bathing, sanitaryware, and storage in the form of a vanity unit. The bath is placed upon a platform for this reason; to create a relaxing space for the client, and focal point for the design. Matt black accents are used throughout the space, including for a towel rail and stand-alone bath filler.
Similarly, the shower enclosure is placed into the corner, and utilises built-in niches to store items. The Sanitaryware is concealed as much as possible to keep maintain a minimal feel, with additional storage niches incorporated above this area. A sizeable vanity unit ties in with the clients green requirement and provides extra drawer storage for the client. Matt black accents are used here as well to tie in with other design choices.
To incorporate the green elements into the design, the designer has specified a leafy William Morris wallpaper which combines well with the mint green tiling used within the shower and accent wall. Two neutral tile choices team well with the green tones in the room, with a woodgrain tile used for the floor and a subtle white wall tile used up to half height around the room.
Lighting was also a key consideration of the project. Each of the storage niches equipped with small downlights, which are also installed within the platform area. Above the bath symmetrical pendant lights help to create a warm and relaxing ambience.
The outcome achieves all the elements of the brief, with some of the designer’s fantastic choices contributing to the final aesthetic. A great theme with a designer wallpaper choice ensures that the green elements are included within the design as the client requested. A vanity unit provides storage and a built-in sink, whilst further storage space is incorporated within the multiple storage niches. The design has also been spectacularly brought to life and expertly installed by the installation team, who have paid fantastic attention to detail within this space.
