Mr. and Mrs. Dubb, who live locally to our showroom, approached us with a clear vision for their dream kitchen. Their primary objective was to create a clean, modern space with simple lines and a sleek aesthetic—allowing the colour palette and material finishes to take the lead in delivering character and personality.
We chose a bold yet sophisticated combination of navy blue and brown concrete finishes, enhanced with stainless steel accents. This mix brought depth and contrast to the design, resulting in a timeless, elegant look that reflects the clients’ style preferences.
Kiran, one of the homeowners, specifically requested a generous preparation and entertaining area. To accommodate this, we designed a 3-metre island that provides ample worktop space while maintaining an open and spacious floor plan. The island itself is dedicated entirely to storage, featuring deep drawers and wide cupboards to maximise functionality without visual clutter.
The back wall of the kitchen is primarily dedicated to appliances and utilities. This includes a tall fridge and freezer, built-in oven, combination microwave, warming drawer, integrated dishwasher, sink, boiling water tap and a concealed bin unit. Placing these functional elements along one wall allowed us to streamline the workflow and maintain a clean visual aesthetic throughout the rest of the kitchen.
A small and simple breakfast area was created to the left of the kitchen to house daily-use items such as cereals and a toaster. The adjacent tall storage larder includes pull-out shelving for small appliances like blenders and toasters—ensuring these items remain accessible yet neatly hidden when not in use.
Because the clients also have a separate spice kitchen and walk-in pantry, we were able to prioritise visual harmony and style in the main kitchen without compromising utility.
To enhance the overall ambience, LED lighting was integrated throughout—subtly embedded within the handle rails, under wall units and surrounding the tall back wall cabinetry. This not only provides practical illumination but also serves as a striking decorative feature, adding depth and warmth to the design.
