The Myers Touch – Award-winning designers celebrate their 20th Anniversary 27
Mar '23

Founded by Keith and Helena Myers, The Myers Touch Kitchen Design Studio celebrates its 20th Anniversary with award-winning designers and an in-house installation team.

Founded in 2003 by husband-and-wife team, Keith and Helena Myers, The Myers Touch has been creating beautifully designed kitchens across Winchester and beyond for 20 years.

We take a look at where it all started and the accomplishments it has achieved in the past two decades.

How it started

Before starting their careers in kitchen design, Keith and Helena came from electronics and pension administration backgrounds, but during this time they had gained architectural, interior and spatial-design experience from overseeing the completion of three home renovations.

Keith and Helena left their jobs to start their business journey by founding a remodelling consultancy service operated from their home study. They ran the consultancy service from home for three years before taking on premises that would become their new design studio.

In 2015 they moved their growing business into their current showroom, a state-of-the-art architectural building that is wrapped in floor-to-ceiling glass which you approach through a tranquil bamboo garden.

Masters of design

The Myers Touch is recognised as one of the leading kitchen design studios in the UK. Their pioneering approach to kitchen design has led Keith and Helena to host talks at RIBA, Grand Designs Live and The Homebuilding & Renovating Show.

Over the past 20 years, The Myers Touch has been recognised in industry awards. Highlights of their success include winning the kbbreview Retail & Design Awards Kitchen Retailer of the Year in 2021, KBBFocus Kitchen Retailer of the Year and Kbsa Designer Awards (over £50k) in 2022.

The design philosophy that The Myers Touch has taken focuses on authenticity, integrity, sincerity and excellence. As they respond to the individual needs of each client, the design team ensure that each new kitchen will enrich people’s lives.

Commenting on the milestone, Keith says: "What makes our business stand apart is that we adopt a Life + Design formula to create each new kitchen commission. We combine kitchen components of the highest quality with inspirational architecture and interior design so we can unlock a client’s home potential. Our design approach ensures each of our kitchen designs enriches household relationships and the homeowner’s quality of life through the efficiency, functionality and beauty of their space which we often refer to as ‘creating kitchens with light, space and laughter’."

Looking to the future
