KC Design House Ltd
Having lived in the property for 25 years and completing significant work to their home 4 years ago, it was now time to find a kitchen solution. The client expressed that she was overwhelmed during her research kitchen ideas by trawling through magazines and google and welcomed having a designer.
At the initial property visit, the designer stood in the large open plan space and instantly knew that the kitchen should be relocated into the current dining area. With the kitchen dining and living area overlooking the valley through the large wall of glazed doors and windows, the current layout wasn't used to its potential. An ergonomic and aesthetically pleasing working kitchen with dining and seating arrangements would be achieved whilst maximising the high ceilings, natural light and existing architecture.
Whilst taking the comprehensive design brief, prudent questions about their lifestyle, cooking requirements and furniture styles were asked whilst demonstrating relevant products in the showroom. This included the innovative BORA Cooktop Extractor System and Miele Steam Cooking.
All the benefits with Miele steam cooking and how this would be a valued appliance in their scheme were discussed. With the clients being fitness fanatics, the option of cooking a quick meal in ‘combi mode’ whilst preserving the nutrients in their food was very appealing. Using an appliance tower of a 45cm Steam Combination/ 60cm Pyro Oven and 29cm Warming Drawer would be more than substantial for the client’s lifestyle in addition to the 4 – zone flexi induction hob.
With the client purchasing fresh produce weekly, Liebherr refrigeration was recommended for both the Fridge and Freezer. This ensures the food is preserved for a longer period of time & that the weekly shop may become less frequent. This reduces the carbon footprint.
