Our client asked us to design and install their master ensuite as part of a larger project we were carrying out for them. They had a generous 25m.sq space and knew they wanted a separate bath and shower but weren’t sure how best to set out the room.
To make the room a little more intimate, we suggested dividing up the space by building a full height wall to conceal the toilet and shower behind. By splitting the room in this way, we were able to provide added privacy for the toilet facilities whilst creating an impactful focal point with the illuminated recess and freestanding bath.
The beautiful freestanding bath is the ‘Dawn’ from Waters Baths Elements collection and it is filled using the Hansgrohe Puravida bath and shower mixer in a white/chrome finish.
The illuminated feature wall behind the bath was tiled using two extra-large porcelain slabs in Calcutta Stone creating a stunning finish.
The reverse side of the dividing wall features a wet room showering area and wall hung Villeroy and Boch WC.
The Hansgrohe AXOR Citterio E Raindance Select rail and hand shower were chosen make a real statement with its chunky design led adjustable rail. Next to the shower we have used the thickness of the dividing wall to construct a useful alcove suitable for bottle storage. These recessed shelves look more attractive and are far easier to clean than traditional shower baskets.
For the twin vanity unit, the combination of Keuco’s Edition 400 vanity unit and floating twin basin shelves in Truffle Structured Lacquer were chosen to be the perfect accompaniment to Keuco’s stylish Royal Lumos mirrors, providing a sleek and contemporary feel.
To finish the room the pink painted walls add a soft feel and compliment perfectly the Calcutta stone tiles.
