Kitchen Living Group Ltd
We discussed having a Scandi inspiration whilst making the kitchen layout work for their lifestyle. They enjoy entertaining large groups of people so needed plenty of worktop space, zoned areas for different tasks as well as a champagne-trough built into the island.
Smart food and wine storage solutions in the kitchen and pantry were a must, whilst a custom boot-area was requested in the utility so that the client was able to access their gorgeous garden without walking through the kitchen.
During our briefing meeting we discussed efficient, innovative mechanisms and appliances. The clients particular liked the Blum Space Tower, the 290 warming drawer, and a 90 bottle larder wine fridge for their collection of whites and champagnes!
The client wanted two distinct zones for their coffee and hob area. The coffee area was to feature a black Quooker tap alongside glass framed Rotpunkt units. In contrast, the hob area had an canopy Neff extractor inside white units.
After looking at many options, the client loved the look of Calacatta quartz as a bold statement. We created this look by box-mitring 20mm book-matched quartz to appear as if it’s 60mm and bringing this down the sides of the island with waterfall ends.
Overall, the client was aiming to being together their dining area, lounge space and kitchen to create one connected open plan area. We achieved this by tying in the rear seating on the back of the island with their 300 year old oak and resin feature dining table. There is also Halifax Oak tied in throughout the whole house.

“We were looking for a completely fitted kitchen for our high ceilings, the idea of making the wooden features as pillars was perfect.”
