They had recently moved into a new house. The existing master bedroom had various stud walls with furniture doors installed in between.
My client requested lots of floor to ceiling storage, with a mixture of internal drawers, hanging space and shelf storage.
A dressing table was also important with storage below for makeup and hair appliances.
I designed 4 tall double units with the mixture of requested storage. The dressing table was designed so that it was central to the window to allow natural light. A glass top was fitted over the top fascia panel for a more durable use top.
The installation included removing all but one of the stud walls and coving around them, three in all, replastering the ceiling, moving electrical socket and switches and replaced the coving.
The Smooth painted, 3 piece door units, from Stoneham, was painted in “Pipe grey” with Cloudy Oak carcass and solid drawers; complemented with the milled solid satin brass handles. We also supplied and fitted the brass wall lights, with ribbed glass shades.
The overall room has a sophisticated, timeless and luxurious feel to it.
Project cost: £19,250.00
