There also needed to be an office/homework space incorporated in the design as the clients now work more from home since covid.

The family have huge glass doors and windows to bring the outside in along with the same stone like porcelain tiles that run through the open living space into the garden. The extension is south facing so the light that fills the room was very important in the design and the clients colour choice was to have dark cabinetry as a contrast in a contemporary classic style.

Quartz worktops with a slight vein were used in the kitchen with two tables to match the worktop to keep the flow of the kitchen and materials throughout.

A breakfast pantry with quartz inside was incorporated into the design for the toaster, cereals and blender.

I designed a banquette seat with table at the end of the island where the children often eat and the clients toddler stands to help with cooking and baking on the worktop safely away from the hob in her own cooking section!

Open shelving and wood accents are added for more of an eclectic feel to the large space for the clients to display books, ornaments and plants.
