Moss Hall Kitchens Ltd
Expansive, Elegant, Innovative
Almost exactly 17 years ago, Mr and Mrs Flint had their existing kitchen created by the senior kitchen designer. So, when they decided to have their kitchen redesigned to become a more innovative, contemporary space, they knew exactly who to turn to. As they expected the designer didn’t disappoint, and the result is a beautifully expansive kitchen in stunning acrylic cashmere.
The central island feature is one of the most notable aspects of Mr and Mrs Flint’s new kitchen, in a magnificent shade of Brown Orleans oak. Installed just under its surface are several Evoline pop-up sockets, which include 3 sockets and 2 USBs for plugging in blenders, mixers and other electrical appliances. The island has been designed so that one end appears to be ‘floating’, complementing the floating wall-mounted storage units.
The kitchen worktops are resplendent in a 25mm white Corian, seamlessly extending up and back into matching wall panels. Alongside the traditional kitchen storage is an angled unit in the corner that serves as a spacious walk-in larder, with internal shelving to provide practical storage.
Amongst the kitchen’s most fascinating features are the semi-integrated, wall-mounted storage units in both the kitchen and dining room, which have been carefully designed to appear as if they’re floating off the floor the designer has achieved this with the clever use of innovative slate wall tiles. These make the walls look impressively authentic, while adding a wonderfully tactile texture to the kitchen’s otherwise contemporary style.
Also adding texture to the kitchen is the glass rack next to the wine cooler, with a matching timber trim to complement the kitchen island. Meanwhile in the dining area, the 8-seater dining table was specially designed and fabricated for the Flints, with a Corian surface to match the kitchen worktops and wall panels.
Mr and Mrs Flint’s kitchen is, of course, outfitted with some of the most powerful, innovative Neff kitchen appliances on the market. In addition to the wine cooler mentioned above, this includes two slide & hide ovens, two warming drawers, combination microwave, steam oven, flex induction hob, larder fridge, dishwasher, and a Quooker tap, which is able to provide boiling water instantly upon demand. Finally, a Neff extractor has been built into the ceiling, keeping the air clear and fresh while casting a beautifully soft glow from the recessed lighting above.
In addition to the flooring, plastering, electrical, plumbing and installation works, the designer also incorporated two tall grey radiators into the finished kitchen, which were again specially designed by the retailer.
Mrs Flint was thrilled with her new kitchen, saying: “the designer and team were professional, honest and knowledgeable, and he has helped make our kitchen a stylish, modern, functional and stunning family entertainment space admired by all who visit.”
Agreed budget value for this project was £37,000.00
