The clients were a professional couple with two young children that were moving back to the UK from Germany. They were having renovations done on the house before they made the move.

The client was living in Germany at the time and they were happy for us to take control and suggest colours for them to consider.

We chose Farrow & Ball – Wevet for the island and Purbeck Stone for the tall and base units.

We used a mixture of Bianco Venatino Quartz and cold rolled stainless steel worktops.

Cold rolled stainless steel has a wonderful feel and worked really well against the quartz splash back.

The client preferred no seating on the island, as they are making future habits for the little ones to always have meals at the table to establish routine family time. I think this is a very admirable idea.

We utilized storage on the island by incorporating large drawers throughout and multiple dishwashers.

By using bespoke cabinetry, we utilized the height on all the cabinets by dropping down from the ceiling by 18mm to create a nice shadow gap which lines up with the main doors into the kitchen.

We also dropped the plinth height to 60mm to increase usable storage height.

The client was extremely happy with how the kitchen turned out.
