The chosen kitchen manufacturer is Stoneham, a bespoke brand utilising high quality premium products.
The furniture is in two finishes to provide contrast;
- Oak painted Strata door in Fogged Oak with Milled Solid Black Satin Nickle handles
- Smooth painted Strata door in Pipe Grey with Milled Solid Satin Brass handles.
The kitchen contains an L shape run of units. The short edge consists of tall units sunk into the back wall with a contemporary style cornice to fill the gap up to the ceiling and detailed side panels. The units contain three eye-level Gaggenau 400 series Anthracite ovens;
- a combi steam oven with warming drawer underneath
- a large capacity single oven
- a combi microwave and vacuuming drawer underneath.
Gaggenau are the only brand that has a fixed inlet and outlet water connection available for steam and, with the 400 series range, these products include the convenience of home connect, handle less open touch door, touch display and pyrolytic cleaning. The units to either side of the ovens house a large Gaggenua Vario fridge on the left and Vario freezer to the right.
The long edge of the L has worktop space stretching from the window edge to beyond the tall units. This allows a space to conceal a worktop appliance. The worktop and splash back are made from Dekon, which is resistant to scratches, stains and is fire and heat resistant. There is no need for a chopping board or protective mat.
The mantel in the centre of this run is plasterboard and is in a Pipe Grey finish to provide contrast. It has a concave overhead canopy concealing a Gaggenua Vario ceiling ventilation directly above a Gaggenua vario flex induction hob. The easy clean hob has front mounted solid stainless-steel control knobs which illuminate when in use and a protective stainless-steel frame. It has four cooking zones with flex which allows the cook to combine cooking zones to accommodate large pans.
Furniture around the island is in Pipe grey. The worktop is made from 3D versatile Corian material with drainer grooves and a wireless charging point built in. The material allowed the booth seating area to be curved and is heat resistant, non-porous, easy to clean and can be repaired. The two sink bowls situated in the island are Corian with a stainless steel base for protection against the boiling hot water tap. These sinks have Corian walls allowing them to seamlessly merge with worktop. Quooker Fusion Round gold tap provides both mixer and boiling water in one. The tap is both safe and energy efficient. The 24kt golden finish gives that premium product feel. The island also has a Gaggenau dishwasher with automatic door opening, concealed pull out bins and a waste disposal unit. The seating booth faces a floating TV unit with more storage.
Drinks area includes Liebherr wine cabinet which has 2 temperature zones to accommodate all wines and champagne. The 5 shelves, 3 with telescopic rails, hold
34 bottles and can all be locked safely away. Featured in the worktop are two Kaelo integrated wine coolers, great to keep open bottles chilled. Other features include a Stoneham custom-made glass hanging rack, a tinted illuminated glass wall unit and further wine shelves.
Lighting recessed into built out walls above the windows contributes to this living space being bright and open.
