To create a large open plan kitchen, dining and living space for them to enjoy with family and friends.
As they are keen cooks and love to entertain so planning and the logistics was essential in the location of the certain areas of this kitchen.
This space is a lovely light bright classic contemporary hub for what the family needs.
The open plan design utilises the space to it’s full potential and maximises storage and fictionally which is easy to clean and easy to use as clients enjoy cooking as most of their time spent in this space. Its also big enough for more than one person to use , and would be ideal for entertaining with the island being the main feature which then flows into the other areas of the design with views out to the garden.
As mentioned before this design has a continuous flow to it, as you enter the room you start at the island which is very open with lots of prep work surface and is great for socialising while cooking. It then moves to the refrigeration oven cooking and here I have used a dark grey finish to make this area stand out with open shelving and worktop back panels, so it becomes a great focal point and is not too heavy. Using light base units this makes the space feel brighter and bigger also using the different materials such as the glass and metal wall units and using oak accents at the drinks area add texture and warmth giving the client a classic contemporary look, also depicts the certain areas of the kitchen and in some way making them stand out and great for entertaining.
