The 2018 AGM Conference and Networking Dinner was a hailed as a huge success as the association celebrated 40 successful years and looked to the future with confidence.
Over 115 delegates, with 55 of these being retailers attended the event which was held at The Stratford Manor Hotel, Stratford upon Avon. An exclusive retailer dinner the night before included two presentations from Simon Jones, Director at BSH Home Appliances Ltd and John Seaman, Head of Sales at Blanco UK Ltd.
This year’s programme included three business seminars in the morning that covered training and education, current trends in the customer journey and how best to use social media for business.
National chair Richard Hibbert said that the Kbsa was delighted that the conference was still improving every year and focused on presenting material and topics that had a direct benefit for retailers.
Uwe Hanneck, acting Kbsa CEO presented the future strategy of the Kbsa, reinforcing the association’s commitment to improving benefits and bringing on board new members. He said, “We are delighted to report that our focus on bringing on board new members is already delivering results with 20 new members over the last 3 months.
“We are on track to achieve our goals to make the association more vibrant and relevant, and confirm our position as the only one to support and represent independent KBB retailers.”
