The KBSA have announced the winner of the Young Designer of the Year in the 2014 KBSA Designer Awards as Rebecca Reynolds from The Kitchen Showroom in Sudbury, Suffolk.
Rebecca was highly commended for her entry in the Kitchen Designer of the Year category, but her entry was judged ‘best in class’ when it was submitted for the Young Designer category.
The judges commented that her entry showed quite a lot of maturity for such a young designer, and for all the entries for this category said ‘the one real standout for us was to see the quality of the young talent in our industry – not just in terms of design appeal, but their technical ability was outstanding’.
Graham Ball, Chief Executive Officer, said ‘It is most rewarding to recognise young talent in our industry, and this year’s entries have again demonstrated that the industry is in safe hands as these young designers continue to develop their skills. It seems very timely that our Awards coincided with the launch of the inaugural foundation Degree Course in Kitchen Design which is another milestone for our industry.’
